Another pricey day due to stocking up to bring things home. One more day! And probably rainy like today 🙂
Muxia is beautiful, and probably more beautiful in the sunshine 🙂 I took the early bus from Finisterre this morning and didn’t feel as queasy. What I did see was very nice, but still went by too quickly. And I missed a lot because I fell asleep. As happens frequently. Hopefully I will also sleep on the train tomorrow and a bit on the plane. And lots in my own bed Saturday night!
In Muxia, I found Petra right away and hung out with her and Sylvia (another Hungarian) for a while over lunch. It seemed like a good day to just be inside on a couch with a book, but I am in Spain, not home, so it couldn’t be, and I mustered up the strength to leave the hostel!
And I am glad I did! Very special moments at the end of the peninsula on the rocks overlooking the ocean. Beautiful! And almost a little bit of sun. It got brighter at least. However, the basillica here suffered from a fire at Christmas 2 years ago and is now being renovated but no one can go in.
It was quite windy at the ocean, but I found a little protected nook and sat for quite a while. After emerging from the windbreak, I nearly fell over! The wind was so strong that I also nearly lost my poncho as well.
A peaceful, relaxing day. And an early morning tomorrow. Might have interesting laundry stories tomorrow, but we’ll have to wait and see!
